Job Title: Quality Control Coordinator

Reports to: Production Manager

General Essentials Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned as required)
Workflow & prioritization:
- Work with department supervisors to continuously set clear priorities and ensure resources are allocated effectively to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Review employee/team productivity and performance, recommending improvements to meet quality and timeliness goals.
- Evaluate and recommend alternative procedures to optimize efficiency.
- Standards & quality:
- Create standards and inspection procedures for new and existing products, and ensure all
- departments uphold quality standards.
- Conduct regular audits to identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee all preventative maintenance procedures to ensure equipment is functioning
- optimally.
Staffing & talent:
- Assess staffing needs and participate in the hiring process to build a high-performing team.
- Follow up on training new employees on company procedures, policies, production techniques, and safety measures.
- Provide support and guidance to team members, fostering a positive learning environment.
Safety:
- Ensure all departments adhere to internal safety guidelines and OSHA regulations.
- Ensure a safe work environment by identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.
- Promote safety awareness among employees.
Sustainability:
- Assist supervisors and teams in minimizing waste.
- Look for opportunities to implement new and cost-effective sustainable practices throughout the production process.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5 to 7 years work experience in a printing environment.
Physical Efforts and Skills:
- Must be able to work 40+ hours per week and work shifts.
- Be able to pass a Ishihara Color Blind Test.
- Good command of English language.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of press operation and finishing requirements.
- Sound mechanical, math, communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to communicate well with others.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Must be able to read and understand written instructions.
