The Operations Team is looking to fill the role of a Sr. Machine Operator in their Fairfield, California facility. This position will perform manufacturing and quality inspection functions during production. A key part of this position will be supporting and meeting established safety practices, quality standards and production rates. This position is also required to operate a forklift to assist in product movement.
The Fairfield site is one of the manufacturing sites for IPL’s Returnable & Environmental business unit in the United States; a business which has annual revenue of approximately $110m with significant growth potential and is part of the Environmental, Returnable and Industrial Solutions (ERIS) Division of IPL.

What you will bring to the role:
A seasoned manufacturing professional with a drive to support and engage others in ensuring safety, quality and production goals are met.
Essential experience and skills:
- Proven experience in manufacturing, plastics industry is a plus
- Has a basic knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within manufacturing
- Ability to work in a seasonally fast paced environment under direct supervision
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Basic mechanical skills
- General computer skills
- Must be able to input production numbers on data entry system
- Must be able to lift, push, pull frequently, and maneuver at least 100 pounds
The successful candidate will:
- Maintain safe workplace and ensure that safety policies are followed
- Report safety concerns and hazards to your supervisor
- Maintain knowledge of product assembly and quality plans
- Perform inspection of each part to quality plan requirements
- Notify supervisor of any suspect quality issues
- Transport product into inventory in a safe manner; [using Forklift machine]
- Stack and package product in accordance with quality plan and supervisor’s instructions
- Provide on the job training to new employees and temporary employees as requested
- Provide input to improve processes and procedures
- Qualified at LOTO
- Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.50 - $22.50 per hour
