Overview:
We are seeking a Pastry Line Cook to join our high-performing team at The Knickerbocker Hotel, a member of Leading Hotels of the World. You must be hard-working and strive for excellence in all areas of work. We are looking for someone that is both self-motivated and team orientated.
You will play a crucial role in producing food to our high standards by taking responsibility for preparing and cooking food in your designated area of the kitchen.
Responsibilities:
Working as part of a team to ensure that all tasks are completed in order of priority, and in the allotted time frame
- Ensuring that all staff have a safe and pleasant work environment at all times
- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Ensuring that all food that they produce is equal to or above the minimum set standard
Qualifications:
- Has an attitude of continuous improvement; contributes new ways to create efficiencies or work more effectively either individually or as a team member
- Adheres to any current COVID-19 & NYC DOH sanitary guidelines
- Communicates any culinary or staff related issues to the Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine in a timely manner
- Has a positive, professional attitude; always on time and focused on the job they need to do
- Open to feedback to help improve and learn new skills
Expected Salary Range ($25/hr - $26/hr)
