CRANE OPERATOR/ CDL CLASS A LUMBER DELIVERY DRIVER
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY
$32-$40 Per hour
Crane Operator is responsible for operating a mobile crane to lift, move, position and reposition loads. The operator controls crane functions by depressing buttons and foot pedals as well as manipulating levers. The Operator must also have a Class A license.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive 80,000 GWV Truck to delivery address. Work with pilot cars if necessary
- Operate Crane Truck: truck set up with automatic stabilizers, manual controls on crane
- Customer service at job site, communicate with construction workers while setting trusses
- Communicate with dispatcher as needed
- Communicate with pilot cars while piloting over-sized loads
- Securing loads and trusses with tie down straps and chains
- Light maintenance on truck; cleaning windows, checking fluids and air pressures
- Daily heavy lifting (up to 100 lbs.)
- Drive Lumber Truck
- Drive Flag Cars
- Lumber returns
- Check with Jim or Bob before leaving when back from las load
SPECIFIC JOB SKILLS
- Class A CDL
- NCCO Crane Certification
- Team player
- Ability to work flexible schedule
- Comply with ODOT rules and regulations
- Duties may change or may be added to, depending on certain circumstances
Education and or experience
- Knowledge of building materials desirable
- NCCO Crane Certification
- Class A CDL
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
