Customer Account Manager

We are seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, charming and trusted Customer Account Manager (“CAM”) to join the team. The CAM will be the face of the organization, utilizing their proven business acumen, knowledge, skills and abilities will facilitate, manage, maintain and drive crucial business relationships with our esteemed clientele. Reporting to the General Manager, the CAM will execute daily touch calls and routine visits, working to recognize and identify potential challenges before they arise by recommending remedies in collaboration with our clientele and plant leaders.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders; own the interaction
- Identify new business opportunities through warm calling, networking and referrals
- Managing, maintaining, and growing the relationship with the client and key stakeholders
- Directing and having a positive impact on projects, and teams by providing guidance, direction, and a vision to follow
- Managing projects and working closely with team to adhere to deadlines
- Provide exceptional communication
- Ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal teams
- Experience in warm calling techniques
- Work with Customers to understand their timelines, needs, and pickup & delivery requirements to process accordingly.
- Identify and proactively handle delivery delays.
- Arrange dock appointments with the Operations team and get BOLs once scheduled.
- Work with customers to resolve shipment issues, i.e., damages, omitted/incorrect items
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
What you should have :
- 4 years professional Account Management experience
- Ability to collaborate with internal departments positively and proactively
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Ability to shift priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Aptitude to learn new systems and processes
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, email
- Sales or logistics experience a plus
- Bi-lingual a plus but not required
- Hotel Experience essential for success
Qualifications
- 3 years professional Sales Support, Account Management or CRM experience
- Ability to collaborate with internal departments positively and proactively
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Ability to shift priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Aptitude to learn new systems and processes
- Proficiency in MS Office, working knowledge of Google Suite and possess basic computer skills
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and concentrate on detail in a fast-paced work environment
- Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to work in a team environment and welcome feedback and direction
- Capable of standing for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to frequently reach, bend, stoop, climb up and down stairs, walk, and carry multiple objects
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated success managing Fleet operations/logistics in a high-volume time sensitive industry
- Ability to persevere through challenges with tenacity and a positive attitude
- Insatiable curiosity, eagerness to question the status quo, and desire to share knowledge
- Exceptional attention to detail and deep sense of pride in your work
- Ability to proactively balance multiple time-sensitive tasks and anticipate next steps

- Be able to speak, write and understand the primary language of the workplace
- Flexible schedule to include day shift, and as needed night shifts and weekends
- Ability to lift, push or pull 50 pounds
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred; High school or equivalent (Required)
- Proven experience as a Account Manager or similar role
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions
- Effective communication skills to interact with drivers, vendors, and internal teams
