RCS Staffing has an immediate need for an experienced Civil Site Engineer in Framingham, MA/ Chicago, IL/ Orlando, FL/ Charlotte, NC. This is a full-time, direct-hire, hybrid/remote position with our client.
Overview of YOUR role as an Experienced Site-Civil Engineer:
The Experienced Site-Civil Engineer will primarily function as a senior engineer performing design reviews on a regular basis, as well as developing junior staff members, and contributing to bids and proposal development. This role will also consist of taking a responsible engineer role on main client projects, overseeing the work and ensuring quality control on design packages. Site-visits to client substation facilities are expected to be part of the work, along with occasional travel for client meetings and industry related events. Experience in front-facing client operations such as lunch and learns, and kick-off meetings if preferred. Candidate must comply with quality control and safe work practices and maintain compliance with project scope, schedule and budget expectations. This position will be a senior member of a design team comprised of engineers, designers, and drafting technicians.
As an Experienced Site-Civil Engineer YOU will:
- Land development permitting including NPDES, stormwater management, and knowledge of other typical local, state, and/or federal regulations and permit requirements.
- Research additional site data through various sources
- Site layout, grading, and drainage design
- Stormwater modeling and design
- Erosion and sediment control design
- Access road design
- Utility coordination and design
- Retaining wall layout and design
- Documentation of all supporting calculations
- Quantity take-offs
- Construction drawings
- Construction specifications
- Construction observation and field engineering
- Coordination and collaboration with other design disciplines
YOU are the ideal Experienced Site-Civil Engineer candidate if you have:
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
- Engineer with 4-6 years of directly applicable civil-site design experience
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D software (preferred) and/or MicroStation OpenSite Designer software
- Experience with Hydraflow, ICPR, and various other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling & design programs
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, and other general software tools
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills
- Team player with ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff
- Able to execute projects and handle clients successfully with limited supervision
- Willing to travel, up to 25%
