First & Foremost For This Role:
A Medical Receptionist/Certified Medical Assistant is a vital intermediary between our physicians and their patients at our clinics. In essence, they are the faces and voices that all patients first encounter on there way to successfully getting the necessary healthcare services from our collective medical staff. An overall awareness of your impact on contributing to a caring environment for all patients while maintaining the positive chemistry amongst all staff members, must be the baseline mindset at the core of any applicant.
Roles You Can Expect To Have With This Position:
- Always greeting patients enthusiastically face to face and/or on the telephone
- Checking in patients with appointments/Welcoming Walk-Ins
- Gathering enrollment information/Verifying all existing database information (i.e. Insurance info)
- Satisfying the necessary clerical requests for patients and/or Medical Staff (i.e. forms/records)
- Assistance with and/or coordinating necessary services with other healthcare providers/institutions in the greater community at the direction of the Medical Staff (i.e Authorizations, referrals etc.)
- Producing various reports/documentation that management requests
- Obtaining/recording vitals for both adult and pediatric patients
- Being available for mandatory meeting and/or trainings

- Proficiency with Computers (Windows Operating System)

- Being flexible with roles/tasks reasonably requested of you at any moment
- Maintaining focus when challenging situations arise
- Being able to adapt to the changing pace of patient volume during open office hours
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma
- Completion/Certification for Medical Assistant in State of New York
- Phlebotomy Training
- Minimum of 1 year's experience as a medical receptionist and/or certified medical assistant
- Fundamental familiarity with all aspects of what generally occurs at a healthcare clinic from front to back office
Work Remotely

Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
