Pershing LLC seeks a seeks a Senior Specialist, Back-End Developer in Jersey City, NJ, to consult with internal business groups to provide appropriate application software development services or technical support. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field, and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation. Seven (7) years of experience must include: Utilizing application development practices and coding using Core Java, J2EE, and Struts framework; developing highly interactive web applications utilizing JavaScript, HTML, CSS and AJAX; Following UI design practices including user-centered design, UI heuristics and principles, technical writing, business and user workflow, logical information organization and navigation, prototyping, and use case scenarios; Utilizing Eclipse, Log4j, Junit for building, logging and testing; utilizing Client–Server technology, Web-based n-tier architecture, Database Design, and developing applications using J2EE Design Patterns and creational, structural, and behavioral design patterns including MVC Architecture, Business Delegate, Singleton, and Data Access Object (DAO). Five (5) years of experience must include: Working on modern application development practices including microservices, event driven architecture and 12 factor design principles, Restful api’s, Api Managers, and coding using Angular, Bootstrap, Spring boot, Apache Kafka and Node JS (NPM); Working on Application Security Vulnerabilities including Cross Site Scripting (Stored XSS, Reflected XSS, DOM Based XSS), SQL Injection, Cross Site Request Forgery, Broken Access/Authentication Control, and Security Misconfiguration; Utilizing JDBC for database connectivity for databases including Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL and performing Test Driven development/Behavior driven development with Jasmine, Karma, and Protractor for web-based applications. Pershing, LLC. assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary/range for this position is expected to be $169,229.00 to $200,000.00 USD per year at the commencement of employment. Base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the Pershing total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
