The Program Director will be responsible for implementing, and overseeing a portfolio of programs aimed at driving sustainable economic growth, creating jobs, and improving the economic well-being of local businesses. The Program Director will be responsible for the growth and overall economic impact in Little Village.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify needs, opportunities, and priorities for economic development programs.
- Design and develop innovative programs and initiatives that address key economic challenges and opportunities in the community.
- Ensure that programs align with organization's mission, goals and strategic objectives.
- Oversee the implementation of economic development programs, including work plan outputs recruitment, performance tracking, one on one business coaching, technical assistance, B2B referrals, pitch competitions, and workshops
- Ensure effective coordination and collaboration within the team to achieve shared programmatic goals.
- Apply change, risk, and resource management principles when needed.
- Monitor program outcomes and impact, and make necessary adjustments to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with community organizations and referral partners.
- Collaborate with partners to leverage resources, expertise, and support for program implementation and sustainability.
- Represent the organization in meetings, conferences, and events related to economic development.
- Work closely with the development team to cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and funding partners.
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting obligations.
- Develop and implement strategies to raise public awareness about the importance of economic development and the impact of our programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, non-profit management, or related field.
- Applicant must possess a blend of leadership, strategic, operational, and interpersonal skills.
- Applicant must speak, read, and write fluently in Spanish and English.
- Demonstrated track record of designing, implementing, and managing successful economic development programs.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop proactive solutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
