The Forging Phoenix Foundation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor to join our team. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will play a crucial role in providing direct support and care to women survivors of sexual and domestic violence experiencing mental health challenges via telemedicine. Your responsibilities will include crisis intervention, therapy, data collection, and diagnostic evaluation.
The ideal candidate is a bachelor prepared student seeking their master's and needs counseling hours. The ideal candidate will have experience in trauma therapy, CBT, and crisis management.

```Responsibilities:```
- Provide direct support and care to individuals with mental health conditions
- Conduct crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Assist in therapy sessions and treatment plans
- Collect and record data on patient progress
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and assessments
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans
- Monitor and ensure the safety of patients
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients
-Meet with a LCSW once week via video for chart review
```Experience:```
- Previous experience in mental health or related field preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and guidelines
-Familiarity with trauma informed care
- Familiarity with crisis management techniques
- Ability to collect and analyze data for treatment planning
- Understanding of diagnostic evaluation processes
- Familiarity with social work principles and practices
