Job Summary:
Complies and maintains accounts payable by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Payable:
- Codes and enters payable invoices into Enrich Accounts Payable program for Bruckner Leasing Co.
- Prepare all necessary data for weekly check run.
- Reconcile vendor statements for Bruckner Leasing Co., as well as vendor set-up and W9 management
- Navigation of Purchase order system
- Acquire and maintain vendor information for 1099 reports for Bruckner Leasing Co.
- Demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Meet deadlines and prioritize tasks and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Utilize the accounting system, billing system, spreadsheet
- Prepare various financial documents for the operating departments.
- Acts as Credit Point Person for BLC.
- Monitors accounts and keeps them current by contacting customers by telephone and/or letter correspondence on a regular basis.
- Monitors accounts exceeding credit limits and makes recommendations based on previous payment history.
- Answers accounts receivable inquiries from customers, calls and/or mails correspondence to customers as necessary to update accounts.
- Back-up to process credit applications by obtaining supplier references, credit references and other credit bureaus.
- Researches and processes customer claims of invoice payment.
- Performs other duties and leads other special projects as assigned by the Office Manager and/or Corporate Leadership.
Marginal Job Tasks:
Backs up receptionist by answering telephone when necessary.
Educational Requirements:
Minimum high school diploma required. Any additional courses in accounting favorable, but not required.
Work Experience:
Minimum two to three years previous experience in similar accounting position. Previous experience with computers for automated accounting system.
Language Skills:
Read and write the English Language.
Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability:
- Should be able to read computer generated reports, office reports, invoices, etc.
- Should be able to compute numbers manually, or by use of a calculator or computer.
- Also is required to operate computer terminals with keyboard and mouse, 10-key calculator, fax machine, and other various office equipment.
- Must be able to use communicative skills to interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a positive and constructive manner.
Physical Demands:
- Position involves essential ability to sit, maneuver from one work area to another, being able to bend and squat, and manipulate small objects.
- Involves working indoors only.
- Involves some lifting and maneuvering of boxes of computer paper and storage boxes.
