In this role, you’ll join a team who assists attorneys, paralegals, staff by playing a fundamental role in the work required to support the Firm's clients. This is a hands-on position and provides e-Discovery consulting and technology support to case teams, including vendor management, database management, e-discovery project management and training. You will report to the Director of PTED.
As a PTED Project Manager, you will assess and support technology needs throughout all stages of the litigation or government investigation process.
Strong communication skills and a clients’ first attitude is paramount in this role. Must be comfortable working directly with attorneys to manage projects, including providing real-time status updates and workflow and data collection recommendations.
You will be responsible for the advanced technical and project management aspects of discovery, including the stages outlined in the Electronic Discovery Reference Model. In order to guide attorneys through the discovery process, you must possess knowledge of current Federal and State e-discovery laws/rules. Additional knowledge of foreign country data privacy laws/regulations is a plus.
Responsibilities:
eDiscovery Project Manager

Coordinate with case teams to select, communicate with and manage Firm approved outside vendors for electronic discovery projects

Maintain tracking logs for data received, loaded to review platform(s) and/or produced, as well as data produced by opposing counsel and/or third parties

Prepare e-discovery budgets in connection with data collection, data processing, data hosting and billable hours for Project Management
Essential Functions of Job:

Maintain Relativity databases as well as other eDiscovery Firm platforms

Train case team members on all supported eDiscovery platforms

Manage Firm’s eDiscovery vendors
Qualifications and Experience
Required Qualifications: 5 years of eDiscovery experience
Preferred Qualifications: Law firm experience

Current Firm policy is hybrid–working in the office a minimum of 3 days per week, and working from home the rest of the week (subject to change).

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel Requirements
Up to 10%, some travel may be required to other SMRH offices and possibly to industry conferences.
The pay range for this position is: $71,136 - $158,600 per year. Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Salary Transparency Law.
