Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Construction Craft Labor Educator/Facilitator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working together with our apprentice program team to delivering classroom training for Construction Craft Labor courses, translating training materials from English to Spanish, and administering tests. This role requires travel across Puerto Rico to various training sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver Construction Craft Labor courses using pre-drafted documents and presentation materials.
- Translate all course materials from English to Spanish.
- Administer classroom training sessions and testing in Spanish.
- Travel throughout Puerto Rico to deliver training at various locations.
- Ensure all training programs are aligned with industry standards and company objectives.
- Evaluate and assess participants’ progress through testing and provide feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities and participants’ performance.
- Collaborate with the apprenticeship program team to continuously improve training programs.
- Stay updated with the latest construction industry trends and training techniques.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an educator or facilitator, preferably in the construction industry.
- Bilingual fluency and proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of construction safety requirements, craft labor practices and standards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel frequently across Puerto Rico.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in training or adult education.
- Experience in curriculum development.
- Familiarity with online training platforms and tools.
