Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Hospitality Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 95 seat year-round restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality, restaurant management, and team supervision.
This include tasks like overseeing personnel, scheduling of restaurant staff, ensuring that the facilities are properly maintained and clean, taking steps to ensure customer satisfaction exceeds expectations of guests and owners alike, overseeing the upkeep of administrative records, being present for inn guest needs, and responding to guest inquiries/requests. This role will be responsible for working with owners toward the continued growth and expansion of the hotel and restaurant making it a destination for Mainers as well as visitors from all over the world.
The ideal candidate will be a leader and problem solver. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are a must. Should be able to delegate tasks, monitor operational processes, and work to train and develop staff through facilitating on-site training programs as needed. Experience using restaurant software Resy and Lighthouse are helpful but not required.
Duties:
- Manage all aspects of hospitality operations including food handling, kitchen management, and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- Coordinate and supervise events, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Train and mentor staff in hospitality procedures and customer service standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and order FOH supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food preparation and service areas.
Skills:
- Proficiency in hospitality management practices with a focus on quality service delivery.
- Strong knowledge of food production, banquet services, and restaurant operations.
- Experience in supervising teams and managing staff performance effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, staff, and vendors.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
