*Overview: *
The Manufacturing Project Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the Welding and Fabrication department of Trench Shoring Company. In tandem with the department’s manager, this position will translate work orders into the company ERP system, and act as the coordinator of incoming raw materials from suppliers, and repairs from internal customers. This role requires an advanced ability to communicate with a variety of sources across the company and have a strong understanding of supply chain and inventory principles. This is a non-exempt role, and all applicable Federal and State laws that mandate non-exempt employees receive overtime pay will be followed.
*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS*
· Maintains company inventory system when receiving and shipping materials and finished products.
· Able to communicate with branches to facilitate deliveries, and work with suppliers to obtain raw materials.
· Responsible for monitoring the production and maintaining inventory levels of raw material, components and finished products to meet company demand.
· Assists with the coordination of planning and procuring of materials to support fabrication. This includes purchasing raw materials, components, and supplies to support production schedules.
· Support manufacturing activities including ERP maintenance.
· Closely monitor supplier delivery schedules and routinely communicate with suppliers to expedite deliveries when needed to ensure component availability.
· Receive and reconcile deliveries against purchase orders. Complete all documentation and transactions in the ERP system.
· Maintain Material Item Masters, Bills of Materials, Routings, Production Revisions, and other ERP entries for manufactured and refurbed items.
· Tracks and updates raw materials and supply inventories to include the coordination of the shipping and receiving functions.
· Complies with and tracks department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies.
· Frequently participate in on-line and in-person training which may include sitting at a desk or in a classroom for up to 8 hours to develop deep knowledge of core products and company culture.
· Able to manage competing priorities and limited resources while maintaining a good positive and collaborative attitude.
· Perform work in a manner consistent with all company policies and safety rules.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
*Qualifications*
· Bachelors degree preferred.
· 3 to 5 Years demonstrated experience in manufacturing, supply chain, fabrication, or inventory.
· Advanced written, and verbal communication skills. Able to write effective and clear e-mails across a varied audience.
· Excellent mathematical and analytical skills required.
· Knowledge of appropriate software including ERP system such as SAP or equivalent, Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
· Demonstrated computer skills which include previous typing and database experience.
· Bilingual Spanish is preferred, but not required.
*Physical Demands and Work Environment:*
· Continually sit, or stand in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time.
· This is a sedentary position which primarily involves sitting/standing working at a desk and computer.
· Occasionally required to traverse jobsites and branch locations which require wearing PPE provided by the company at all times.
· Must be able to lift up to 15lbs at a time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $36.00 per hour
