Our world-class specialists and ER veterinarians are partners with a strong team of Registered Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, Doctor's Assistants, Managers and Client Service Coordinators.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine Department team. As an integral part of our Internal Medicine team, you will play a crucial role in assisting with surgical procedures, providing compassionate care to our patients, and ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in the internal medicine department with examinations, anesthetic procedures, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
- Administer medications, perform phlebotomy, and place IV catheters.
- Monitor and care for hospitalized patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Perform diagnostic imaging, such as radiographs and ultrasounds, and prepare samples for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Educate and support pet owners regarding their pet's condition, treatment options, and care instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stocked and sanitized.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with the latest advancements in veterinary internal medicine.

Qualifications:
- Registered Veterinary Techician (RVT) Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a veterinary setting, with a focus on internal medicine highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
- Proficiency in diagnostic imaging, laboratory procedures, and nursing care techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients and their owners.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
