Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our team at NYP Weill Cornell Medical Center. This 12-week assignment involves working closely with the Respect Office, conducting investigations and ensuring compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity laws and guidelines. The role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong investigative and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct employee relations interviews and investigations for the Respect Office.
- Develop and maintain thorough documentation of all investigations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding Equal Employment Opportunity and protected class designations.
- Collaborate with HR, legal, and compliance departments to address and resolve employee relations issues.
- Provide detailed reports and updates on investigation statuses to senior management.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Adapt to a flexible schedule, working until 6 pm as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) in Human Resources, Legal Studies, Compliance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, legal, compliance, or a related area.
- Proven experience conducting employee relations interviews and investigations.
- Strong familiarity with federal, state, and local EEO laws and guidelines.
- Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
