Job Overview:
Taste Kitchen+Bar is seeking a hardworking and outgoing General Manager who will work alongside service and support staff to provide a positive dining experience for our guests. The Manager’s duties will include maintaining effective operations, effective communication, providing high quality food and cleanliness standards, engaging in and overseeing health regulations, training and development of staff, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Handle daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Manage and train a team of restaurant staff
- Proficient in operations in all positions in the location
- Meet restaurant financial and budget objectives
- Monitor inventory levels and implement effective inventory control procedures
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and food handling guidelines
- Utilize POS systems, Spot On POS, to process orders and payments
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean and organized restaurant environment
- Maintain guest satisfaction by monitoring and evaluating service
- Accomplishes restaurant human resources objectives by hiring and training
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in hospitality or food service management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively supervise a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Culinary background or knowledge is an asset
