Position Summary:
As a key member of the resort operations team the Assistant Resort Manager is responsible for managing the Housekeeping, Maintenance and Front Desk teams, to maintain/improve resort quality standards and owner satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures unit and public areas are maintained to VI standards for cleanliness and maintenance by effectively managing the housekeeping and maintenance functions and staff.
- Partner with the Resort Manager to maintain positive owner relationships and courtesies and manage resort operations and staff.
- Invoice and Accounting – Code and submit invoices to AP weekly, assist with variance analysis, assist with budget preparation, maintain check register & reconcile petty cash.
- Prepare and review and keep up to date new hire packets for all departments.
- Payroll & Labor tracking – ensure all PTO requests are approved and submitted for each department timely for payroll & ADP time cards are accurate for approval for every other week payroll processing.
- Partner with Supervisory teams (Front Desk, Housekeeping, & Maintenance) to ensure effective communication & training protocols are met; including, but not limited to scheduling, performance management, and providing back up support.
- Work with Resort Manager & supervisory teams, providing assistance when necessary to review staff schedule, balancing operational needs and budgetary guidelines.
- Assist the Resort Manager in monitoring the fiscal performance of the resort, and completing a monthly variance report.
- Strategic planning experience meeting goals and deadlines including strong communication skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skills
- Assist Resort Manager with the development and preparation of board meeting activities for the homeowner association.
- Maintain Safety documentation & process while being the main point of contact for Injury Reporting process, safety training, knowledge, proper fire safety practices, and emergency procedures with staff.
- Fluent in English for communication required, Fluent in Spanish is a plus
- Support Resort Manager when needed or requested, and other duties as assigned.

*Resort Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Oversee all staff functions.
· Review & approve invoices submitted for payment of products and services.
· Submit weekly, bi-weekly and monthly financial reports.
· Monitor Bi-weekly payroll submission.
· Attend HOA meetings as needed.
· Assist Resort Manager with the preparation of the annual budget.
Qualifications:
- Education: College degree or equivalent work experience
- Previous supervisory experience
- Two to five years of customer service experience.
- Experience using computers and familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to multi task and prioritize competing deadlines.
- Detail oriented with good organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment when dealing with owners and staff members.
- Fluent in English for communication required, Fluent in Spanish is a plus

Pay: $68,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
