Business Unit AVD Vascular (AVD)
Job Summary:
As an Instructional Designer, you will use adult instructional design principles and processes to support Client Vascular internal and external learning programs.
You will be responsible for:
- Creating engaging learning activities and compelling course content
- Working with subject matter experts to identify learner training needs and content.
- Creating and maintaining a library of clinical case examples from video and presentation materials
- Setting instructional end goals and creating content that matches them.
- Visualizing and creating instructional graphics, the user interface, and the finished product
- Analyzing and applying trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design
- Creating exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
- Creating supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, games etc.)
- Devising modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course.
- Maintaining project documentation and course folders
- Documenting standards and development process including testing and quality assurance.
- Supporting and maintaining Professional Education curricula.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Instructional Design:
- Design digital learning solutions to support classroom and virtual learning.
- Apply instructional design and learning principles to existing content considering context, purpose, and audience.
- Consider adaptable design of highly technical material for use on-demand, in classroom, and in hospital.
Develop:
- Develop, and produce education materials using iSpring Suite, PowerPoint, and Articulate Rise.
- Reference and cite resources including scientific publications.
- Prepare materials for formal internal routing in a document control system.
- Edit images, audio, and video using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Produce assessments and exams to be distributed in an LMS for live and on-demand environments. (iSpring Quizmaker)
- Publish and test SCORM files in an iSpring Learn LMS. Familiarity with Brainshark also helpful.
- Manage content settings and availability within an iSpring Learn LMS.
Support & Maintain:
- Document deliverable progress and estimate completions within a project management worksheet.
- Manage system architecture of curricula, content, and users (people assignments)
- Support ongoing curricula cohort enrollments and assignments.
- Provide ongoing LMS reporting (custom when needed)
- Potential to contribute to the design and structure of expanded LMS use.
Skills & Profile:
- Established instructional design training, skills, and samples of previous projects required.
- Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably medical device, or healthcare.
- Strong interpersonal skills; written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, self-directed, and self-learner; comfortable with prioritizing, establishing objectives and processes, and working to achieve them.
- Highly organized, capable of managing project status on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective, collaborative working relationships.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $41.00 per hour
