Overview:
Hourly Rate: Min: $33.60 Max: $57.42
Monday-Thursday, 10-hour days. However, there may be flexibility to do Monday-Friday, 8-hour days
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our surgical clinic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care by triaging calls, assisting medical assistants (MAs) and staff with surgical orders and inquiries, assessing post-operative patients, conducting chart reviews for direct scheduling, and providing educational support to MAs as needed. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities
Responsibilities:
1. Triage Calls: Efficiently handle incoming calls from patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers, assessing their needs and directing them to the appropriate resources or healthcare professionals.
2. Assist with Surgical Orders and Inquiries: Collaborate with MA’s, OR and clinic staff to ensure accurate and timely processing of surgical orders, answering questions related to surgical procedures, medications, and pre/post-operative care.
3. Post-operative Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of post-operative patients, monitoring vital signs, wound healing, pain management, and any potential complications. Provide appropriate interventions and communicate findings to the surgical team as needed.
4. Chart Review for Direct Scheduling: Review patient charts to identify individuals eligible for direct scheduling of surgical procedures. Coordinate with physicians and scheduling staff to facilitate timely and efficient scheduling of appointments and surgeries.
5. Educational Support: Offer guidance, education, and training to MAs on clinical procedures, protocols, and best practices related to surgical care. Ensure that MAs are knowledgeable and competent in their roles to provide high-quality patient care
Qualifications:
Education - Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
Licenses, Certifications, and/or Registrations-
Current RN license in the State of Oregon; BLS
Other – Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking preferred. Ability to work with culturally diverse population.
