Job Summary:
As a Line Cook at The Fox Trap you will play a crucial role in our kitchen operations, ensuring that each dish is prepared with precision and presented to perfection. You will work alongside a team of culinary visionaries dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with the restaurant’s recipes and standards, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
Station Management: Manage your assigned kitchen station, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Quality Control: Ensure the quality and presentation of all dishes meet our high standards before they are served to guests.
Consistency: Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in every dish.
Efficiency: Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet service demands and maintain the flow of the kitchen.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff, including the Head Chef, and fellow Line Cooks, to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries, checking quality, and storing ingredients properly.
Menu Development: Contribute ideas for new dishes and menu items, participating in tastings and menu planning sessions.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume, restaurant environment.
Culinary Skills: Proficiency in various cooking techniques and commercial kitchen equipment. Strong understanding of culinary terms and practices.
Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure quality and presentation of dishes.
Time Management: Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
Team Player: Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work well with others in a collaborative kitchen environment.
Adaptability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Education: Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus, but not required.
Physical Requirements:
