Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Accountant at Timney Triggers in Phoenix, AZ. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for the day-to-day financial tasks listed below as well as ad-hoc requests.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable:
- Responsible for full cycle Accounts Receivable function including managing A/R Inbox, desktop deposits, petty cash collections and disbursements, posting of cash and sending customer statements.
- Reconcile A/R accounts
- Receive, research and resolve a variety of routine internal and external inquiries concerning account status, including communicating the resolution of discrepancies to appropriate persons.
Accounts Payable
- Ensures that all PO related invoices follow the 3-way match process accurately.
- Ensures that all non-PO invoices get timely approvals and that GL accounting coding on invoices is accurate.
- Processes all A/P invoices and expense reports into Netsuite, including ensuring correct GL Account coding.
- Assists with the credit card process including gathering all receipts from cardholders timely to meet the month-end credit card reconciliation deadline.
- Review employee expense reports and ensure receipts are attached and approvals received.
Payroll
- Responsible for processing weekly, multi-state US Payroll
- Review and validate timesheet changes in collaboration with managers.
- Collaborates with HR to process employee changes such as title, pay and manager changes.
- Processes wage garnishments and completes necessary documentation.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll processing and analyze variances.
- Validate vacation and personal time balances.
- Assist with year-end preparation, such as W2 and 1095-C forms, as well as various compliance reporting.
- Process all onboarding and offboarding in accordance with company policies.

- Verifies and processes qualifying event changes as well as COBRA administration
- Monthly reconciling of group insurance invoices.
- Provides remote and on-site support during annual Open Enrollment.
Other Responsibilities
- ERP System Administrator support as needed.
- Performs other duties as required to support Accounting and HR Department.
- Analyze workflow processes to make improvements within the department.

- Knowledge of basic accounting principles

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

Pay: $52,000.00 - $64,000.00 per year
