- The primary responsibility is to perform massages on clients using various techniques, such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, or reflexology, based on the client's needs and preferences.
- Assessment and Consultation: Before each session, assessing clients' needs, health history, and any specific areas of concern to tailor the massage to their requirements. This may involve discussing clients' medical histories and any injuries or conditions they have.
- Applying Techniques: Applying appropriate pressure and techniques to manipulate muscles and soft tissues of the body to relieve tension, stress, and pain.
- Maintaining Cleanliness and Professionalism: Ensuring that the massage room and equipment are clean and sanitized between sessions, and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Providing Recommendations: Offering advice and recommendations to clients on stretches, exercises, and relaxation techniques to complement the benefits of massage therapy.
- Educating Clients: Educating clients about the benefits of regular massage therapy, proper posture, and self-care techniques to promote overall wellness.
- Documentation: Keeping accurate records of clients' progress, treatment plans, and any relevant notes from sessions.
- Continuing Education: Staying informed about new techniques, trends, and developments in the field of massage therapy by attending workshops, seminars, and continuing education courses.
- Maintaining Boundaries: Upholding professional boundaries with clients and adhering to ethical standards of practice.
- Physical Requirements: Being physically fit and able to stand for long periods, as well as having the strength and stamina to perform massages throughout the day.
