Russ Hadick and Associates has partnered with a well-established commercial construction company in the Columbus, OH. This position is a Assistant Project Manager for Owners- Rep work on Waste Water Construction in Columbus, OH
Expectation- MINIMUM 3 Years experience in Construction Engineering Design OR Construction Management
Capability AND Desire to obtain Professional Engineer License OR Certified Construction Manager
TYPICAL DUTIES
- Project setup, schedule, cost control, quality control, project communications, project relationships, change management, project closeout and safety.
- Develop relationships with clients, potential clients, subcontractors and vendors. • Proactively communicates project related issues directly with project team.
- Analyze and understand contract documents including plans, specifications, and geotechnical reports.
- Perform constructability reviews and value engineer project documents.
- Ensure all company, client, and project policies, procedures, standards, etc., are adhered to. Interpret policies as required.
- On-Site project management of construction activities
- Managing day-to-day activities on large construction/remediation projects
- On-site review of construction progress against project schedule.
- Coordinate with management and engineering staff to develop solutions to field problems. • Facilitate project meetings as required.
- Maintain official project log and documentation files.
- Project Planning and Costing • Managing and updating construction schedules
- Preparing Daily, Weekly, Monthly Field Reports
- Managing and directing junior staff
- Assist with implementation/interpretation of safety programs.
- Coordinate planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required.
- Investigate potential claims or serious situations and implement corrective measures.
- Assist in administration of project processes including submittals, RFIs, pay applications, and change management.
- Compile inspection team’s field information and produce reports as assigned.
- Maintain as-built information.
- Coordinate field inspection teams and materials testing services as assigned.
- Provide inspection services
- Conduct project close-out activities including punch list.
- Construction estimating and validation of Change Order costs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
