About Us:
Rehabilitative Health Services was established in August of 1998 and is in its 25th year. We have provided mental health services to the community of South Eastern Idaho since our inception. On average, RHS serves an estimated 1500 clients at any time, with an annual clientele service of over three thousand patients annually. Currently, we accept most major private insurances, Medicaid, Medicare, Optum Idaho Medicaid, and True Blue/Blue Cross Special Needs Programs. We also offer a private pay/sliding scale fee for the service program. RHS is also an approved site for The National Health Service Corp.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive mental health care to patients of all ages. Duties:
- Assess and evaluate adults/adolescents/children experiencing symptoms of behavioral health disorders and substance use disorders.
- Analyze and evaluate patient data/information and examine findings to diagnose behavioral health disorders and substance use disorders
- Prescribe medication to treat mental, emotional, behavioral disorders or substance use disorders
- Advise and inform guardians, relatives, and significant others of the patient's conditions and treatment when clinically appropriate.
- Examine or order laboratory or diagnostic tests for patients to provide information on general physical conditions and mental disorders.
- Work in a multidisciplinary clinic setting with clinicians, RNs, MAs, psychologists, therapists/counselors, social workers, substance use counselors, and peer support staff.
- Provide care based on current evidence-based guidelines and practices.
- Follow clinic guidelines and quality assurance practices.
- Ensure the company's objectives for quality of care for patients as well as meeting fiscal goals
- Utilize electronic medical records
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with specialization in psychiatric mental health
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA)
- Proficiency in psychopharmacology and experience prescribing medications for mental health conditions
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
