SoCo Ginger Beer is looking for an organized, efficient, and team-oriented leader for our production facility! This role would oversee production operations, maintaining recipes, managing produce inventory and costs, training and supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety and quality standards are met, and collaborating with sales, farmers markets, and other departments.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing production and packaging of ginger beer and fresh pressed juices: preparation and juicing of fruits and vegetables, operating the juicing equipment, bottling machine, and labeler
- Responsible for produce ordering, inventory controls and costs
- Leading production team, making schedules and developing a collaborative work culture, leading staff meetings, maintaining labor costs
- Maintaining juice machine, hydraulic juice press and other warehouse equipment daily, ensuring that they are in working order and cleaned daily by production team
- Ensuring compliance with all cleanliness and food safety requirements
Qualifications
- Food Managers Certification
- Food handling and preparation, kitchen manager experience required
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds
- Experience and know-how in using kitchen equipment and tools
- Comfortable working in a hot, noisy, and fast-paced small business environment
