Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform routine procedures such as vaccinations, blood draws, and dental cleanings
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures and treatments
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Take and develop x-rays/ dental x-rays
- Collect and analyze laboratory samples
- Maintain accurate medical records and entering all charges for all patients
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
Qualifications:
- Must be a licensed RVT ( Registered Veterinary Techinician)
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Experience working with a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, and exotics
- Proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques
- Professionalism, punctuality, multi-tasking and ability to work as a team
- Ability to perform animal catheterization and administer medications
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for surgical procedures
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and veterinary team members

- Ability to properly restrain, IV and urinary catheter placement, filling presciptions, maintaining accurate medical records, venipuncture, surgical prep and assisting, anesthetic monitoring, Dental cleanings, Radiology, patient recovery, taking proper patient history, compassionate care for our hospitalized patients, various other task
