BFA TEACHER
JOB SUMMARY
Under the supervision of BFA's Administrative Staff, the teacher is responsible for creating an environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth of the children in their assigned classes. She/he must be passionate, compassionate and empathetic in all activities and interactions relating to the children and their parents. The teacher should serve as a team member in developing creative lesson plans and implementing them in their classrooms, following BFA's Circle of Care core values. The teachers must work in cooperation with their peers, the Administrative Staff, the Owners, parents and children, and any other third-parties who provide activities and care to the children.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
- High school diploma required with experience in early childhood education or related field.
Associate's or Bachelor's in early childhood education is desirable.
-CPR & First Aid certified, or willingness to obtain certification within six months on the job.

-Develop lesson plans using a provided curriculum for children ages 0-5years.
-Knowledge of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Service's rules pertaining to childcare and safe practices.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
-Display professionalism in punctuality, mannerisms and attire.
Supervise all classroom and daily routine activities.
Assist co-teachers in all daily preparation work and clean-up of rooms and dishes.
Coordinate with the Administrative Staff in connection with supply requests in a timely manner.
Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with parents, staff members, and children.
Establish a nurturing relationship with children in addition to serving as a positive role model.
Treat children in a positive manner that encourages individuality and positive self-esteem.
Responsible for completing designated housekeeping duties, including tasks that can be performed during rest periods.
Complete other duties as required.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
