Position Summary: Manage the personnel and production of the packing and grinds department. Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issued quickly and efficiently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Schedule: Monday - Friday; No Weekends
Responsibilities:
- Manage a small team of 7-10 employees
- Troubleshoot Machinery
- Transport finished product to appropriate packaging line utilizing carts
- Power down machines using appropriate procedures
- Set up vacuum packaging machines for appropriate size required.
- Stack boxes and stage for inventory or shipment
- Read customer order to determine items to be processed, moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Convey materials and items from productions locations to stocked locations or to other designated areas using pallet jack or carts.
- Sort and place items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or convey orders to packing station or shipping department to prepare for shipping.
- Open boxes, crates, and other containers.
- Record amounts of items distributed.
- Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
- Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area including warehouse.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Able to work in cold environment - approx. 38 degrees.
- Able to lift 50 pounds
