Job Description:
A Billing Representative at Pennsylvania Dermatology Partners must have a strong customer service attitude while handling all incoming calls for the Billing Department. Needs to follow procedures, collections techniques along with customer query resolutions. Knowledge about preparing invoices, processing payments and pursing past due balances. The Medical Billing Representative helps to create the culture of Dermatology Partners by always being polite, friendly, and helpful to patients and team members. They always present in a professional appearance and manner. There are no supervisory responsibilities unless assigned by the appropriate Manager. The Medical Billing Representative reports to the Director of Billing. This candidate must have Billing and Posting experience as well as Customer Service with answering the phone. ***This is NOT a remote position-must work Full time from Pottstown office.***
Responsibilities include:
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating via incoming calls from patients to settle accounts and answer questions.
Handle billing processes, including matters related to invoicing and reconciling accounts.
Track and maintain records of patient billing and billable items.
Resolve account discrepancies.
Prepare client statements for electronic submission.
Collaborate with patients and team members to resolve billing inconsistencies and errors.
Collect payments and apply them to accounts in a timely manner.
Perform data entry when needed.
Work with discretion to keep patient information private.
Establish Dermatology Partners procedures and methods in order to keep up to date with any changes.
Performs other duties as assigned
