The customer service/billing representative is responsible for completing all invoicing for the terminal in a timely manner, as well as handling incoming phone calls and emails and communicating with customers and drivers. The successful candidate will also assist with the daily operations of the terminal including order entry, scheduling, and managing the flow of paperwork (electronic and hard copy) through the office (including sorting, scanning, copying, filing, and maintaining organized records). Compensation includes competitive salary package based on experience and excellent benefits.
Position is full-time 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
Essential Qualifications
- Excellent organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to effectively communicate with drivers, office personnel, customers, and vendors
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of intermodal trucking operations and procedures
- Self-motivated, reliable, and available to work full-time Monday through Friday
- At least 1 year of experience in the intermodal trucking industry
Key Tasks and Duties
- Manage the invoicing process, ensuring accurate, timely billing for all orders
- Answer incoming calls and assist with customer requests, drivers’ concerns, and other matters as needed
- Communicate effectively with customers and drivers via phone and email
- Soring, organizing and scanning all dispatch documents received
- Build relationships with new and existing customers by providing excellent customer service
- Coordinate with other team members to help with order entry, scheduling, updating dispatch system (Trinium), sorting, copying, filing, and maintaining organized records
