FUNCTION
This is a 1st shift, Monday – Friday 7:00 AM –3:30 PM, hands-on working Supervisor position overseeing one technician. The ideal candidate will be a reliable, friendly, and team-oriented supervisor. This candidate will be responsible for the procurement and quality assurance of diamond abrasives and the production of diamond abrasives products by Fort Wayne Wire Die, Inc. Provide guidance and assistance for chemical processing and environmental compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (Note: Other duties may be assigned)

Abrasives
- Sourcing and ordering diamond abrasives.
- Incoming quality assurance of diamond abrasives.
- Maintaining quality assurance inspection equipment for diamond abrasives and carriers.
- Supervise DP Technician and order production supplies/equipment.
- Troubleshoot reported production problems and advise remedies.
- Conduct monthly meetings with Diamond Powder Team members.
Chemical Processing
- Prepare chemical solutions.
- Order and maintain chemical supplies.
- Operate equipment for chemical processing and wastewater treatment while maintaining conformance to local wastewater discharge requirements.
Administrative
- Prepare Safety Data Sheets for FWWD finished goods.
- Recycling of used materials such as X-ray film to minimize costs.
- Provide compliance certification for RoHS, TSCA, REACH, Conflict Minerals, etc.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associates degree in chemistry, chemical technology, or engineering technology preferred
- Experience working in a chemistry-related field preferred
- Experience in sourcing and purchasing preferred
- A minimum of a year of supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent at troubleshooting technical issues
- Prior experience in completing/obtaining compliance certifications
- Experience mixing chemicals preferred
