AmesburyTruth is looking for a Demand Planner to join our team. As a Demand Planner, you will create, review, and update the forecast volume and sales for a given set of products and product families. In this role you will coordinate meetings to review the forecast and any changes with the various teams with input. This position will load the forecast using the tools tied to our ERP system. The Demand Planner will work with Product Development on NPI and what products will be obsolete and need to be phased out of inventory and sales.
An ideal candidate will be located near our facility in either Irving, TX, or Sioux Falls, SD and is eligible to work on a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities
- Solve a variety of problems related to changes in customer demands and service levels, frequent analysis based on what-if scenarios, seasonal changes in demand, and will track forecast accuracy to improve the performance of the SIOP process better.
- Work with Master Planners to convert the forecast into production plans based on capacity and inventory targets.
- Analyze and manage the forecast for specific product business units.
- Updates Integrated Business Planning (IBP) forecast tool with the latest information for demand to support high levels of customer satisfaction with 95%+ OTIF.
- Communicates demand information across plants for complete visibility of volume and metrics.
- Coordinates requests for changes to the forecast run forecast models to see how changes will impact the operation.
- Run metrics around forecast accuracy and work to improve the process of forecast and demand review and creation.
- Works with the Master Schedulers and Supply Chain Managers to understand and implement the demand at the production level to ensure supply is available when needed.
- Present consolidated forecasts in monthly Demand Reviews highlighting opportunities and risks, assuring the demand plan closely aligns with financial forecasts.
- Manage customer planning programs with Sales and Customer Service inputs.
- Monitor Material performance and make recommendations to the Product teams for SKU rationalization (Discontinuation) of Slow-Moving Items
- Assist in the dispositioning of excess and obsolete inventories.
- Performs other duties as required.
