Role
The purpose of the role of Production Team Member is to work on the production line in build/create finish product.
Responsibilities
- Work in any area of production producing any of Grand Prairie Food’s product lines at any facility.
- Responsible for visually inspecting product quality of product being made, and basic food safety. May need to notify lead supervisor or manager if there is an issue.
- Standing in one position and / or more mobile work or a combination of both for prolonged periods 2-3 hours.
- Repetitive use of fingers, hand, arms, and shoulders.
- Working with uncooked, cooked, frozen products or a combination of any product or raw materials.
- Placing product in machinery, cutting with scissors and / or knives, placing product on or taking off belts, pans, into boxes, bags, cartons, opening product to be consumed, making finished product packaging.
- Employee may work on production lines that produce product up to 110 pieces per minute.
- Communications with lead, supervisor, or manager if problems occur.
- Follow all GMP, SQF and Safety policies.
Requirements:
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to stand, reach, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull, and stand for up to 10 hours a day. Lifting requirements are 25lb regularly and up to 40lb occasionally.
- Exposure to variation in temperature
- Working with uncooked, cooked, frozen product.
