Position Summary
The Spravato Technician is crucial in administering innovative treatments like Spravato and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), aimed at providing relief from depression. This role demands a combination of technical skills, compassionate patient interactions, and meticulous adherence to treatment protocols.
Stewardship
- Efficiently manage treatment supplies and medications, ensuring no shortages or excess.
- Conduct regular audits to comply with health regulations and maintain high clinical hygiene and safety standards.
- Records all treatment session notes and documents in Athena EMR within 24 hours, collaborating with other team members and/or providers as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records, medication inventory records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
- Understand or willing to learn general insurance and billing procedures.
- Adheres to and upholds all compliance requirements from a state, federal level.
Customer Experience
- Drive a high standard of exceptional patient care by demonstrating empathy, developing trust, listening, and providing support to a vulnerable patient population.
- Actively engage with patients to personalize care plans, considering their feedback and treatment responses.
Technical Performance and Precision
- Administer Spravato and TMS with utmost precision, strictly following provider-established guidelines and safety protocols.
- Monitor and care for patients after administering medications to ensure patient safety and resolve or escalate any issues that may occur.
- Provide support to the medical provider as needed during patient consultations and treatments.
- Answer patient inquiries, follow-up with patients and complete patient charting requirements post-treatment.
- Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education:
- A high school diploma is required, and an associate degree is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, nursing, or a related healthcare field is advantageous.
Experience and Credentials:
- Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Medical Assistant (MA) is required.
- Experience working in roles involving patient care, behavioral health, and medication administration is required.
- 1 year of Emergency Medical Technician or Medical Assistant and behavioral or psychiatric health experience is highly desired. Alternatively, experience in a related healthcare field may be considered. You will be trained as a Spravato Technician.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (renewal provided by organization as needed) or willingness to obtain.
- A satisfactory background check inclusive of driving records, criminal records, employment references, education, Social Security and OIG/GSA exclusions.
- Authorization to work in the United States without requiring authorization sponsorship by the company for this position now or in the future.
Technology Requirements:
- Competent with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, specifically Athena EMR.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe.
- Adequate home office setup to perform administrative tasks remotely, with stable internet connectivity.

- Local travel between clinics is required.
