The Logistics Coordinator will manage all inbound and outbound freight scheduling and related administrative tasks for the distribution center. This position will require candidates to perform all daily functions of intake, scheduling, and dispatch of daily freight within stated metrics. Our goals are to provide best in class service to our customers, maintain good relationships with suppliers, distributors, and vendors, and exceed our customer expectations.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Prepare and manage all required shipping documentation for inbound and outbound freight

Manage and update logistics calendar and associated metrics for the distribution center, reporting any off-track shipments to DC Manager immediately with recommended resolution

Manage and report issues relating to import and export, carriers, and logistics related metrics

Maintain detailed and accurate logistics data for weekly, monthly and quarterly reports including metrics, carrier performance scorecards, shipment documentation

Communicate as needed with Logistics leadership and 3rd party providers to confirm schedules for imports and exports

Troubleshoot material flow interrupters, both inbound and outbound and take proactive action to correct

Inspect and approve outbound shipments for correctness and compliance

Outbound dock operations oversite of staging, truck scheduling, door assignments, loading & invoicing. Ensuring logistical requirements are completed each day

Perform other duties as assigned by Distribution Leadership
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:
-
Associate degree (or in process of obtaining) in Supply Chain or Operations preferred

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a logistics function (Lead, Coordinator or Scheduler) within a distribution center

Strong understanding of TL, LTL and Parcel requirements and regulations for USMCA, HAZMAT, Freight Consolidation, and multi-stop shipmentsExperience with web-based 3rd party scheduling platforms and TMS systems

Able to seamlessly lead dock operations and logistical requirements within a distribution center
