JOB POSTING - DIRECTOR, MARKETING/COMMUNICATIONS
The Porter County Community Foundation, Valparaiso IN, is seeking a Marketing/Communications Director to work closely with and report to the Vice President & Chief Philanthropic Officer.
The Marketing/Communications Director is responsible for creating, managing and continually evaluating an integrated marketing and communications program supporting the Foundation’s strategic plan and vision. This role requires strong writing skills, interpersonal communication, professionalism, flexibility, and the ability to collaborate effectively with external and internal partners.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required in marketing, digital marketing, communications, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years as a marketing/communication professional, preferably with significant experience in writing and brand management.
- 3 years’ experience managing website, social media content, newsletters, other digital communications strategies.
- Technically astute with high proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Office, Publisher, and other marketing software.
- Highly organized with attention to the detail. Functions well in deadline driven environment.
- Analytics proficiency with Google Analytics
- Creative self-starter able to function with ease as part of a team.
- Ability to build strong relationships cross-functionally as well as collaborate with outside agencies and vendors.
- Ability to travel and occasionally attend out-of-town conferences or meetings.
- Resident of Porter County is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate with others to create, implement and evaluate a strategic integrated marketing campaign.
- Ensure all media, print and digital platforms and collateral have consistent messaging and visual identity with Foundation brand.
- Oversee and maintain the Foundation’s website including development and evaluation of web content, photography, videos and graphic design.
- Develop and continually evaluate and refine written brand messaging.
- Review, develop and evaluate donor acknowledgement and stewardship efforts.
- Day-to-day execution and optimization of performance marketing channels including PPC, SEO, and affiliates.
- Oversee and maintain online giving platform.
- Develop and implement media strategies to convey information and happenings at the Foundation.
- Partner to create, implement and evaluate a comprehensive, targeted and sustainable communications plan.
- Partner with community nonprofits on marketing and communication initiatives and collateral as warranted.
- Coordinate production logistics and timelines with internal and external vendors.
- Establish, oversee, and maintain publication schedules.
- Incorporate industry best practices for community foundations and nonprofits marketing and communications strategies and educate coworkers on best practices.
