Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Group Facilitator to join our team. The ideal candidate will hold a CADC, LMFT, AMFT, or LCSW certification and will be responsible for leading group therapy sessions, developing engaging group materials, and contributing to a supportive therapeutic environment. This role is integral to our clients' recovery journeys, providing them with the tools and support needed for lasting sobriety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate group therapy sessions for individuals in recovery from substance abuse.
- Develop and implement group materials and curricula that align with our program's goals and evidence-based practices.
- Foster a safe and supportive group environment, encouraging open communication and mutual respect.
- Monitor and assess group dynamics, intervening when necessary to maintain a positive and productive atmosphere.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to integrate group therapy with individual treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of group sessions, including attendance, participation, and progress notes.
- Participate in regular supervision, training, and team meetings to enhance professional development and program effectiveness.
- Stay updated on current best practices and trends in substance abuse treatment and group facilitation.
Qualifications:
- Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Proven experience in facilitating group therapy sessions, preferably in a substance abuse treatment setting.
- Strong understanding of substance abuse disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate clients.
- Ability to create and maintain a therapeutic group environment that promotes recovery and personal growth.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for effective session planning and documentation.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with diverse populations and understanding cultural competence in therapy.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and its application in group settings.
- Ability to adapt and respond to the evolving needs of the group and individual members.
