The position of Director of Sales manages and oversees the sales operations in an organization. Their main duties include define and execute appropriate sales strategies; business development, marketing, technical, ad operations and sales support programs to maximize sales and profitability, designing plans to meet sales targets, developing and cultivating relationships with clients, ISA and ISO.
Tasks
- Coordinates sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used within the sales
organization. Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality,
accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization’s planning efforts. As
needed, coordinates planning activities with other functions within the firm
- Supervise regional sales managers
- Supports the assignment of sales force quotas and ensures quotas are optimally
allocated to all sales channels and resources.
- Works to ensure all sales organization objectives are assigned in a timely fashion
- Proactively identifies opportunities for sales process improvement. Works closely with
sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for
improvement. Assists sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and
inconsistencies. Facilitates an organization of continuous process improvement.
- Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers and partners
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops,
reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in
professional societies.
- Build peer support and strong internal-company relationships with other key management
personnel.
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and
territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
- 3-4 years in sales or management level
- Good leadership skills and ability to motivate the sales team
- Ability to manage and delegate the sales team
- High level of understanding of the market
- Excellent communication skills
- Well-developed math and business skills
- Outstanding negotiation skills
- Ability to plan and execute strong strategies
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
