Responsible for end-to-end data analytics design and architecture for Snowflake
Work on Data Modelling for Snowflake analytic applications
Work on Snowflake optimizations at warehouse, database level
Setup, configure and deploy Snowflake application environments (Databases, Warehouses, Roles, Users, Masking policies etc.)
Setup and monitor data shares, snowpipes for Snowflake projects
Implement Snowflake Cloud management frameworks that includes but is not limited to monitoring, alerting, and governance model, budgets and change management, cost optimization lifecycle, show-backs, and charge-backs
Work on Cloud Usage reporting to measure cloud cost related insights, metrics and KPIs
Communicate with leadership on Cloud usage trends, issues, and optimization techniques
Ability to write complex SQL to analyze and troubleshoot data anomalies
Participate in Snowflake forecasting process; build and improve forecasts and explore trends in cloud spend using internal and external tools
Work on building Snowflake Governance policies, standards, and documentation
Address technical inquiries concerning customization, integration, enterprise architecture and general feature / functionality of Snowflake
Provide guidance and support to internal and federated Solution Architects to ensure compliance to expected technical and quality standards
5+ years hands-on data modelling/architecture experience (logical & physical modeling with 3NF & Star Schema) with at least 3-4 years working experience with Snowflake Coud platform
Detailed understanding of Snowflake metadata structures for FinOps & governance reporting - account_usage, organization_usage schemas
Detailed understanding of Snowflake features for enabling governance e.g. Resource Tagging, Budgets, Alerting & Notification features etc.
Experience with Snowflake administrative functions around user, role and access management (RBAC), masking policies etc.
Experience with Snowflake Data loading & unloading best practices, Data Sharing, Replication, Cloning, Data Exchange, BC & DR features
Experience with Snowflake security features around authentication mechanisms (key pair, Oauth, MFA), authentication ploicies
Experience with GIT based development, deployment, and support of data processes and procedures
Detailed understanding of Snowflake integrations (storage & security) with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure & GCP
Detailed understanding of Snowflake features and integrations with Iceberg table format
Experience with high volume data processing using Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, and other relevant cloud technologies and designing solutions for reliability and performance at scale.
Experience with BI tool and Database integration (e.g. Snowflake or other cloud db with Tableau, PowerBI, Google Looker Studio, Microstrategy etc.)
Effective analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Experience working cross-functionally to roll out and manage large initiatives
Advanced Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint documentation and presentation skills
