Are you experienced in Sales? Inphenix, Inc., a fast-paced semiconductor light source company, is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our growing team. We offer a dynamic work environment, competitive salary, and comprehensive health benefits.
As a Sales Engineer, you'll handle a territory, work on projects, and be the main contact for our clients. You'll lead a team to provide Inphenix offerings and build relationships with customers to drive sales. Collaborating with suppliers and coworkers, you'll sell our products to customer applications.
Responsibilities:
- Manage customer relationships
- Consult with customers on-site and in-office, proactively selling to new and existing clients
- Guide the entire sales cycle, from investigating new clients to post-sales support
- Act as a customer advocate, working closely with Inphenix engineers in applications, quoting, support, and returns
- Use our CRM system for information and quoting
- Provide pre-sale and post-sale technical support; advanced roles may require an Applications Engineer
- Develop and execute strategies for key target accounts, including cold calling, lead follow-up, on-site marketing, and training
- Visit customers regularly to uncover opportunities and explore new projects
- Support trade shows and assist with supplier management
- Provide referrals to integrators and address customer complaints and quality issues
- Respond promptly to customer and coworker action items, providing regular updates
- Cover duties for Inside Sales, Applications Engineers, and Outside Salespeople when needed
- Complete quotes according to Inphenix standards
Qualifications/Experience:
- Successful Sales Engineers typically work around 50 hours per week
- Preferred degree in Optical/Electrical Engineering
The typical first-year total compensation pay range for the Sales Engineer position in the Bay Area, CA is $70,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and sales performance. This includes a salary ($70,000 - $100,000) and uncapped monthly bonus opportunities tied to location and company performance. No specific monthly bonus amount is guaranteed.
