ELECTRICIAN – MANUFACTURING MAINTENANCE (DAYSHIFT: MONDAY THRU FRIDAY!)

We are looking to fill the position of Manufacturing Maintenance Electrician.
1st shift Monday to Friday
Negotiated hourly rate with at least five years of applicable Industrial Electricity experience.
The Manufacturing Maintenance Electrician position consists of installing, repairing and maintaining plant electrical systems and equipment throughout The Belden Brick Companies facilities in Sugarcreek, Ohio with minimal supervision.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- As the Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for the manufacturing process by trouble shooting, preventative maintenance, repair of all extrusion, mixing, packaging machinery and equipment.
- The position will perform complicated maintenance, installation and repair work on electrical circuits, wiring, systems, sensors, drives, fixtures, power distribution, motors, generators, control panels and various other equipment and systems within the plant.
- Fit and connect electrical conduit using various tools necessary to layout, cut, thread, and bend as well as cut holes. Install pull boxes and hand holes.
- Troubleshoot industrial control systems such as: manufacturing equipment.
- Read and work with electrical schematics, blueprints, sketches, layouts, circuit diagrams or specifications.
- Abide by safe work standards including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Fall Protection, Confined Spaces, and appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), NFPA 70E (Arc flash)
- Inspect, maintain, and repair wiring, motors, switchboards, switches, blown fuses, various indoor & outdoor lighting fixtures and electrical mechanisms at an industrial level 110 VAC – 480 VAC, as well as
- 12-24V DC.
- Some PLC experience is required. You will need to be able to use PLC software to communicate and troubleshoot Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC’s, Danfoss, Siemens, and AB Drives.
- Robot Troubleshooting experience is also needed. Belden has various numbers of Fanuc and Kuka robots, and electrical and programmatic troubleshooting will be necessary, along with mechanical troubleshooting experience too.
- Be responsible for related safety and housekeeping obligations throughout the facility.
- Layout, assemble, install and test electrical fixtures, control equipment, and wiring.
- Work with and around live circuits with the correct PPE.
- Perform a variety of manual tasks in varying temperatures for extended periods of time, which may include lifting light to heavy materials, climbing, standing, squatting, bending, and working at heights when applicable.
- Willingness to assist fellow maintenance team members with non-electrical related maintenance repairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Belden Brick will provide the Manufacturing Maintenance Electrician with an initial set of tools for the position. Specialty tools will also be provided by The Belden Brick Company.
Basic qualifications:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems and wiring.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Proficient in the use of test meters and diagnostic equipment.
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
- Ability to lift heavy materials up to 50 pounds at a time, climb, stand, squat, bend and work at heights with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Be able to discern color coded wiring.
- Ability to work on any shift when needed, weekends, holidays, or overtime if applicable.
- Basic computer skills and has experience using Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Continuous learner and an individual with a great attitude and aptitude.
- Can take initiative and has a good work ethic with or without direct supervision.
- Commitment to working safely.
- Is physically able to lift up to 60 lbs. and does not have a fear of heights.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 5 Years experience as an Industrial Electrician with basic knowledge and understanding of machine technology, construction, operation of heavy industrial machinery, and motor or motion control devices.
- Prior experience working with a variety of Programmable Logic Controls, AC/DC drive controls, and platforms.
- Prior experience with electrical industry-specific safety standards compliance.

Pay: Negotiated Rate Dependent Upon Experience.
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week.
