The Finance Manager oversees and manages financial records for all Garman entities to ensure the smooth flow of financial processes, reporting, commitments, and budgeting with accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities include:
- Prepare and present company budgets and forecasts in an accurate and timely manner, including planning timelines around deliverables and coordinating with the Controller and VP of Finance to gather all necessary information.
- Manage short-term cash flow for Garman entities, forecasting 30-90 days’ cash requirements and obligations as a basis for maintaining adequate funds based on guidelines from the VP of Finance.
- Maintain a gross profit detail report for given month to cross check to the financial statements for all entities.
- Calculate Profit Sharing Payouts including incentive-based compensation of employees not included in the standard Profit Sharing pool.
- Ensure companywide key performance metrics used by leadership are up to date and all employees are engaging within the provided metric tracking platforms.
- Create Land Acquisition and Development profitability analysis for potential and current neighborhoods by working with the Land Department to ensure a profitable land purchase.
The successful candidate will be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines. Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent finance experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with budgeting and forecasting with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience.
- Strong financial forward looking modeling skills in Excel desired
- Experience in residential construction preferred
- Experienced with financial/business analysis and valuation techniques
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Experience with Hyphen Brix and QuickBooks a plus
