ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Conduct daily inspections based on the checklist for the forklift. Maintain production materials flow for the table production. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Keep boxes pallets well stocked. Transfer pallets from the holding area into assign trailers. Wrap the boxes with stretch wrap film. Properly label the pallets for shipment. Report transfer of pallet in the AS400 system according to load. Any additional duties required to maintain production levels.
EXPERIENCE OR REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum one year of working with carpet.
- Basic communication skills to read, understand and discuss (in English) numerical and alphabetical lot numbers and other product, production or maintenance information
- Previous computer experience helpful.
- Experience driving a forklift “boom” required
- Must have forklift certification or pass certification test prior to accepting job.
- Ability to work overtime as needed, including weekends.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Frequent: Handle, manual dexterity, lift 15-20 lbs., reach, stand, stoop, and walk. Use personal protective equipment.
Occasional: Balance, climb, crawl, crouch, grasp, hear, kneel, and speak.
Required: Close vision, color and depth perception.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
General warehouse environment. Background noise, dirt, oil, humidity, temperature variations. Work near moving mechanical parts.
Starting pay range: $16-18
