Summary: The Director of Institutional Giving will collaborate with the Development Team to drive institutional research and grant writing. As the Director of Institutional Giving you will be reporting to the Chief Development Officer while working within the fast-paced, mission-driven department. The Director of Institutional Giving will aid in the identification of funding opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Leads research to identify prospective funding opportunities for the institution
- Prepared proposals, reporting, budgets, and supplementary materials for funding requests
- Develops the portfolio of donors and prospects through the creation and execution of solicitation and stewardship strategies
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure execution of contractual grant requirements
- Works with the CEO to capture the complexity of the organization’s “voice”
Oversee grant schedule and working relationships with foundation and philanthropic supporters

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Literature, Sociology, Marketing, or related field
- 3+ years of proven experience with grant management and writing
- Exceptional writing and communication skills
- Experience overseeing team development and departmental needs such as budgets and reporting
