Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for an Extreme Programming (XP) and Pair Programming Consultant for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in the USA. It’s a 6-month engagement remotely or on-site in Seattle/San Francisco.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of strong experience as an Extreme Programming (XP) and Pair Programming Consultant.
- Strong skills in mentoring and coaching, particularly with junior developers.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting or onsite in Seattle/San Francisco.
Nice to have:
- Good knowledge of Java and Go.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate remotely or onsite with Seattle/San Francisco junior developers to enforce XP practices and pair programming techniques.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, helping them quickly transition to mid/senior levels.
- Ensure adherence to XP principles, including test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration, and frequent releases.
- Facilitate effective pair programming sessions, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Assist in the development and refinement of agile processes within the team.
- Participate in code reviews, offering insights and suggestions to improve code quality and maintainability.
- Support the team in adopting and implementing best practices for software development.
- Aim to significantly elevate the skill levels of junior developers within 6 months.
