POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Sales Representative for Borsheim Crane Service (BCS) you will be responsible for developing strong working relationships and providing support with targeted indirect and direct accounts to achieve revenue and growth goals for the company. This position will be focused on supporting our Heavy Lift/Industrial Division, which encompasses cranes ranging from 300-900 ton capacity.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
May include, but are not limited to the ability to:
· Gain a thorough knowledge of Borsheim Crane Services’ equipment and services offered.
· Create and execute an annual sales plan, defining goals and priority targets.
· Manage existing customers, contacts, and all sales activities utilizing company software.
· Prospect leads in markets served by sites including Wind Energy, Petro Chemical, Power Generation, Nuclear Power, Power Distribution, Industrial Warehousing, and General and Commercial Construction.
· Develop new geographic target areas and markets.
· Participate in pre-job meetings, job walks, and perform route surveys.
· Build cost and profit estimates, pricing proposals, and evaluate contractual risks associated with fixed price projects.
· Work closely with the Field Supervisor for scheduling and dispatching.
· Develop a working knowledge of contract risk management and negotiation.
· Conduct capabilities presentation to existing, new, and prospective customers.
· Ensure proactive, effective, professional, and courteous Customer communication throughout the duration of the project.
· Coordinate projects’ design, material take off, and purchasing/manufacturing requirements in maintaining contractual commitments.
· Maintain cost accountability of entire project and quality level to ensure the successful completion of all projects on schedule, within the quality requirements.
· Utilize BHC’s Customer Feedback Programs (Project and Web Surveys).
· Provide complete and accurate details for project management.
· Execute a personal development plan including technical and professional training.
· Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, communications, or related field (preferred)
· Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in Industrial type work (required) with some Wind/Heavy Lift experience (preferred)
· Must have some crane knowledge
· Valid Driver’s License
· Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
· Flexible schedule: ability to work full-time and travel as necessary.
· Familiarity with industrial construction sites, service contracting, and heavy equipment is required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
· Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships.
· Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.
· Excellent interpersonal skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office and other computer applications, including CRM systems.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Highly self-motivated.
