Direct Support Professional positions/availability include:
- Weekend overnights/live-in at a two-person home in Plymouth
- Weekends days/evenings supporting a person in her home in Hopkins
- Weekday evenings supporting people in an apartment building in Wayzata, or in group homes in Plymouth

DSPs at EGH work in Community Residential settings (Group Homes) in Plymouth. They work in a supported apartment building in Wayzata. And one-on-one within the homes of the people we serve in Minnetonka, Hopkins, New Hope and the surrounding areas.
We're looking for professionals who build relationships, and rapport with the people they support. We want invested team members who focus on the dreams and visions of the people they serve.

As a Direct Support Professional at EGH, you will:

- Typical responsibilities include:
- Supporting the wants and needs of the individuals supported by providing a person-centered environment that balances what is important to, and important for, the individuals served
- Assistance with activities of daily living, such as cooking, cleaning, and balancing a personal budget
- Outings in the community for medical or recreational purposes
- Some assistance with personal cares
- Providing companionship
- Documentation of services and progress
- Communication with peers, families, doctors, case managers, or anyone involved in the lives of the people you serve
REQUIREMENTS:
- A valid MN driver's license and reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance
- Successfully pass a background check and driving record check
- Complete medication certification, CPR, First Aid and other training as assigned
- Strong English communication and ability to use computer for daily documentation.
