ResourceMFG is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our food distribution center in Kent, WA. The ideal candidate will need to be flexible with working ALL shifts. (Shift differential included)
Monday through Friday| 5:30am-2:30pm|$33.25/hr - Temp-to-hire opportunity!
Essential Functions:
- Maintains and repairs all aspects of production line equipment including cookers, wrappers, conveyors, etc.
- Must be able to work all craft specialties, including electrical, welding, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic and structural.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts on equipment. Dismantles machinery to access part(s) needing repair replaces/repairs defective parts and reassembles machinery. Lubricates and cleans working mechanisms on production equipment.
- Responds to urgent needs to keep the production lines running continually.
- Performs plant inspections on fire systems, storage freezers, refrigeration system, etc., and records information into daily summaries.
- Performs preventative maintenance work on equipment and ensures timely completion of work orders.
- Must be flexible to work varying hours and shifts, including overtime and weekends, to accommodate the production deadlines.
- Must maintain timely and regular attendance.
- Responsible to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
- Other maintenance duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Must adhere to all plant work, safety, food safety, and GMP standards at all times.

- Able to work in temperatures ranging from 125°F to +/- 20°, averaging 85°F.
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs. frequently.
- Demonstrates high motivation and energy in working with a sense of urgency in critical situations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills within all levels of the organization.
- Ability to successfully manage and execute multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess basic computer skills.
- Must have a 2-year technical degree in a related field of equivalent on the job experience.
- Must possess a high level of machine troubleshooting ability in a manufacturing environment.
- Frequency drives, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Servo Motors, Refrigeration Systems, Boiler systems, and HVAC systems.
- Food manufacturing experience, sanitary design experience and knowledge of SIX SIGMA techniques such as 5-S would be a plus.
- Must have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Must operate with a high degree of proficiency with little or no supervision, partially as such involves the specific trade area.
- Must read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and manuals.
- Must lay out work and estimate materials and cost.
- Must be skilled int eh use of instruments, tools and equipment of the specific trade and be moderately skilled in the use of tools or various trades.
- Must be able to design, build, construct, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, set up or adjust machinery, equipment, parts, vehicles and structures.
